The Empire of Tamriel is on the edge. The High King of Skyrim has been murdered. Alliances form as claims to the throne are made. The future of Skyrim, even the Empire itself, hangs in the balance as they wait for the prophesized Dragonborn to come; a hero born with the power of The Voice, and the only one who can stand amongst the dragons. I've done it. For people running macOS Sierra like me, Skyrim Preferences won't open (it shows a message where it says that it isn'y compatible with that OS version). So it has to be done without Skyrim Preferences, by opening the contents of the game itself and searching "skyrimprefs". You should find two skyrimprefs.ini files, open both with text editor and change the resolution for the one most suitable for your Mac.
does anybody know why i can't seem to save? i'm on macos sierra and i can't open the preference loader, so if there's anything to change in it, please let me know what to change. thanks!
@thalesskyrim I also have Mac OS Sierra, and I was able to find the two Skyrim-refs.ini files and went into text editor. Only question I ask is what exactly did you input for those two .ini files? I can't seem to break open the game.
When I start the game it opens in my dock and I can hear the starting sound and main menu music, but when I click on the app icon I cant open the game and I can't see ANYTHING. I'm currently using High Sierra, and from what I understand that might be the problem. I went into the preferences folder and changed the .ini files to my resolution but that didn't help, can anyone help on what I should change in the .ini files?
